Hi I’m Matthew, husband to Catherine, father to Alaina, Noah and Isaac, a Whitehill kids leader and of course an elder of Whitehill Church of Christ. My favourite hobbies consist of four wheel driving, boxing and watching movies with my family. To try and pay for the hobbies, I currently work as the financial controller of Exact Radiology.

My desire for Whitehill in 2015 is to take an active if not leading part in the revival of this great city of Ipswich.

Hi I’m Brendan. I am a Police Sergeant and have been a Police Officer for 14 years, I am a firearms and officer safety instructor. I first came to Christ in my early 20,s after Meeting my now wife Sara. After becoming a Christian, the apologetics ministry of Creation Ministries International helped me grow in my faith, it taught that 7 literal days of Creation were true and that you can trust the Bible from the first word to the last. Apologetics remains as important area in my Christian walk.
I married my best Friend Sara in 2002 and we have four awesome kids: Abigail, Charlize, Zachary and Delta. In my spare time I enjoy fixing things and getting out in our camping trailer. I am passionate about seeing our church grow and believe that starts with connecting men into the church and encouraging families to grow in Christ.

Hi I’m Gavin. I grew up on a farm and attended the Mt Walker Church of Christ.  I began attending East Ipswich/Whitehill Church in 1994. I work as a Project Manager for a local Consulting Engineering firm overseeing developments in the greater Ipswich region.
I have been married to Anita for nearly 12 years and we have 2 children, Jade & Oscar. We live in Mutdapilly on a small “hobby” farm where we grow cattle and hay crop.  Serving as an Elder has opened my eyes to all the wonderful people who serve in God’s Kingdom through Whitehill and are reaching out to many people in our community in varying ways.  I believe we have the capacity to expand its reach even further with Jesus and willing hearts.

In my senior years, I love my God more each day and realize that He still has work for me to do after 58 years of honouring Him.
I have a wonderful wife Sherenne and we have been married 46 years. We have a daughter Denelle and a son Justin; both married to Ian and Lauren…..and we have 5 marvellous grandchildren. Our joy is that our whole family love the Lord, and to watch them mature in their spiritual life, gives us reason to Praise and Thank God each day.
For many years I worked in retail and owned and managed a successful floorcovering business for 15 years before retiring. Upon retiring I took up part time work as a bus driving for Westside Christian College. I love cooking, gardening, travelling and being with my family.
I believe God has a reason for calling me to eldership here at Whitehill and crave your prayers as I work with my fellow elders to guide this church into exciting new programmes as well as administering the stability we have enjoyed over past years.

It is a privilege to be part of the church council this year. My wife Marion and I have now been a members of the church for almost 20 years and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. We are proud parents of Jake, recently married to Esther, Tohbi and Matilda. I am passionate about a few things – helping people discover the truth of Jesus, surfing and my horses. In my current role as a Mission Action Partner for Churches of Christ in the greater Ipswich region. I am tasked with empowering the local church to engage more effectively with God in his mission. This involves a number of dimensions. Firstly doing personal mission regularly and sharing my learnings with others. Secondly by actively encouraging others in our churches and services to do likewise. Thirdly looking to actively affirm actions of mission whenever and wherever I encounter them. Finally by partnering with likeminded individuals and organisations that are on the same mission. I look forward to serving you in this season and remain committed to our mission at Whitehill.
